Welcome to Chorus with Ms Gac!

This site was designed to be a one-stop shop for all things Chorus/Drama related at the TRA.  Here, you will find practice tracks for our concert music, drama club productions, BCMEA, and NYSSMA festivals. You will also find helpful information about chorus class and upcoming performances/events, and information about our very supportive Music Boosters and how you can get involved.

 

A little bit about myself: I was born and raised in Newark Valley, NY, where I was lucky to be part of a strong music program. Upon graduating I attended the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree in both Music Education and Vocal Performance.  After a brief long-term substitute position I began my teaching career as a Choral and General Music teacher in the Whitney Point, NY School District.  I earned my Masters in Music from Binghamton University, where I specialized in Opera performance and was a Resident Artist with Tri Cities Opera.  I am passionate about Music Education and feel my strengths lie specifically in the vocal/choral field. I also enjoy Musical Theater and am proud to have cultivated a thriving Musical Theater Program at the TRA. I also frequently serve as music director for many of the local theater companies, maintain a large private voice studio, and also continue to perform with opera companies across the country.
